Parimal Bench
Crafted from recycled plastic boards, Parimal is a thoughtful redesign of a classic park bench. Comfortably seating three and allowing for a headrest, storage for purses and backpacks, it keeps seating space free. Its soft geometry blends into the park's landscape and serves as a quiet gesture of care in a public space.

STUDY
The choice of material was not only to enhance the park’s values of
green living, but also to ensure graceful ageing, weather resistance,
and to hold weight. The textured surface blends in marks and stains - inevitable in the outdoors.
The environment of a parks were calm yet active.
Through my initial observations and interviews with people, I found older visitors struggling with comfort and accessibility, hence becoming cues to my design.
The form draws directly from the garden’s language —
the pathways, textures, water ponds, mood.
It was important for it to allow for informal unimposing use, while ensuring comfort in all manners of use.
